Message ...describing, with vents at the bottom of the hood. Make sure that you don't confuse those with vents over the front tires, to vent the wheelwell. I'll see if I can somehow post the info from the aero book that I found, and you need to look no further than any car with a cowl-induction hood to see the real-world proof. Maybe I can put you in touch with the racers to see if they can convince you. I think you are *flat* wrong about the Z32 hood not having a high-pressure area at the bottom of the windshield.

Any car with a windshield will cause the air to turn at the base, thus the high pressure area. I'm not presuming anything about the hoods being described - the shape of the hood has nothing to do with it! It's that fact that there's a windshield. Does this "predator" hood preclude the need for a windshield?

And none of this is blue-sky theory - this is info coming from real racers, and it's proven with examples in real-world automobiles! And street cars can reap these benefits, because a strong airflow through the bay will cool the engine bay.

It's not a question of street car vs race car - I guess it comes down to whether you are worried about cooling when you are driving, or when you are sitting still on the dyno.

I liken this discussion to your previous post saying that you need a widebody kit, so you can fit wider tires for better traction - another expensive mod which I think is of questionable benefit. There are a few folks around here that think more and bigger is better, and I think this thread is just another example. By claiming that it's better, you suggest that anything less is worse, and I strongly disagree with that, because you are then making a statement about everybody else's car, by default. I beleive a lot of statements made aroung here about the relative value of modifications is baloney, and I'm simply posting that view for those who might read these types of posts.

Spend $500 on this hood, or let me suggest another way to spend that $500 that'll get you real benefits.
